Sometimes thrift stores are the perfect place to find things to decorate your home.
Yesterday I found these two goodies at my local Goodwill.
I decided I could use them here:
The top of my daughters constantly cluttered dresser needed a little makeover.
Bad.

This wicker basket (which at first I considered painting white or black) is now perfect for holding my daughters collection of Box Car Children books.
I was in love with the shape of this frame. I popped the old picture out, painted it white, roughed it up with a little sanding, and added a little flower.
Total cost of this mini-makeover: $2.00
AWESOME!

Nice job! Neat ideas, too. Have you thought perhaps putting a more recent photo of your daughter or family in the frame?
I want some of this for my little girls dresser.. HELP ME
Goodwill is such an awesome place to find decor! A few weeks ago I picked up some vases (Pier 1 price tags still on) for $2/ea.
