My Little Painting Secret...

I know it's probably against all painting rules out there but, whether I'm painting a small bathroom space, a piece of furniture, or touching up some wainscoting around the living room, I always use these brushes.

And this is why...
Cost:  Walmart - $1.50
{For a pkg. of 12 in an assortment of sizes!!!}

These little guys give a smooth finish and I love it!
Who cares if I'm breaking all paintbrush rules!
At least I'm saving money on painting supplies!!!

Psst! - They have a pointy edge at the tip of the brush too which makes cutting in between the edges of walls and ceilings really easy!

Okay...so I have to ask, do you use/recommend these for molding/trim? The house we are moving in to is going to need all the DARK molding/trim painted..I'm thinking if I sand it up a bit I could maybe use one of these??? I think we are throwing all our pennies into the pot to make this house deal happen (due to a nightmare appraisal issue. UGH!!!) so I am going to have to be rather thrifty in my updates!!! :)

I would TOTALLY recommend these kind of brushes for painting molding/trim. It may take 3 coats or so to go from dark molding to white or whatever color you choose, but it will look really smooth. I use these kind of brushes for paiting everything! I just painted our entire upstairs bathroom using one of these because I'd rather spend my money else where than buy a whole bunch of expensive painting supplies. Anyway, good luck with everything and if you need help with anything, please let us know!

Okay...great deal! I know, I am the same way...when we stained our pergola out back we bought our plastic drop clothes at the good ole Dollar Tree. I could NOT stomach paying $6-$8 at Home Depot or Lowes for the exact same thing! It's going to take A LOT of elbow grease to get the molding what I want it too...but I am seriously just so anxious to get moved in. Saying lots of prayers and trying to be patient through my anxiety...fingers crossed we'll be out there by the 16th!! :)
