From Drab to Fab: A Soap Dispenser Makeover!

I LOVE bath and body works soap.  The different scents are divine and the bottles are chic.

But we are constantly trying to find ways to tighten the purse strings around here, while causing as little pain as possible, because we feel it is more important to pay off debt from our student days rather than have the latest and greatest.

Although I miss all those lovely bath and body work scents, I still want my soap to look cute {I guess I'm silly like that}.

So I came up with this idea.
This is such a super simple project and it's CHEAP too!

First find a regular old soap dispenser {this happens to be an empty old plain jane one from the dollar tree}.

Soak it in some warm water for about 10 minutes or so to loosen the label for easy removal.
To remove any sticky residue, use Goo Gone.
{This stuff can be found at places like Walmart and works wonders for all sticky messes!}

Then you'll be left with a clean plain old soap dispenser.

To spice the dispenser up a bit, add a cute vinyl label and then add your soap!

Now you have an adorable and totally reusable dispenser for your soap!

The vinyl I used was from gigglygumdrops.blogspot.com.
It was really inexpensive and so easy to use!
{I am not being paid to promote this business, I just really like them!}

{**Note:  If you order from gigglygumdrops there is a $3.00 minimum purchase requirement and the "{soap}" label isn't anywhere near that much so you would need to add some other cute piece of vinyl to your order.}

If you miss the scents, you might consider going to a natural food store or similar location and getting a couple of essential oils. You could then get unscented hand soap- you might even be able to buy it in bulk at the same store- and then make your own scents.
