A Month of Gratitude - Day 6

Day 6:  I am grateful for Small Spiritual Experiences.
Answers to prayers, etc.
I'm sure we've all had them at least at some point in our life.
In the last week I can think of at least three specifically.
I'll share one of them with you.

A few nights ago, my six year old son lost a tooth.
He put it under his pillow, anticipating the arrival of the tooth fairy who would bring him a dollar.
{In our house, every tooth lost is worth one dollar.}
So later that night the "tooth fairy" was panicking a little.
She had nothing smaller than a twenty dollar bill!
Aaaah!!!
So the "tooth fairy" tip toed around the whole house looking for lose change.
Only seventy cents could be found ...and this would not do for a six year old expecting a whole dollar.
So the "tooth fairy" said a small little prayer in her head, asking to be able to find thirty more cents somewhere in the house, in order to make a whole dollar, to leave in place of the tooth.
Literally less than five seconds later, a thought was put into the "tooth fairy's" head to look in a specific pocket of her purse {where, by the way, she doesn't usually keep change}.
She stuck her hand in this tiny pocket in her purse, felt some change, pulled it out, and it was three dimes.
Thirty cents.
It was exactly what was needed to make a whole dollar!

I'm telling you, this kind of stuff doesn't happen to me every day.  But when it happens, I want to remember it for a long time.
I want to remember that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me very much and is very mindful of every single little detail in my life.
Even my attempts to be the best "tooth fairy" I can be to my six year old son.
And it's the same for all of us.
He is mindful of all of us, all the time.

So, in order for me to not forget all these small, simple spiritual moments that happen in my life, I bought a little journal at Michael's a few days ago. {The "R" initial on the cover is for Robin.}
It was in their dollar section.
{Isn't it cute?}
I'm going to use it solely for writing down experiences like the one above, so that I don't forget them.
And someday I'll be able to go back and look at all the special spiritual experiences that have happened in my life.

love this! the Lord really does help in not only big events, but the 'seemingly' small ones, too.
i'm always grateful to Him when i need to find something fast in a sea of mess... ie: a washcloth in a laundry pile!which really was in plain view tonight! yes! thank you for sharing your spiritual experience
