I spent almost all day yesterday making over a dresser for my five year old's room.
My wonderful mother found this dresser for me on Freecycle, just like she found the one I fixed up HERE.
I knew all it needed was a little sanding, paint, and some new hardware.
So I bought a seven dollar quart of paint at Walmart in an off white color and 10 oil rubbed bronze knobs at Home Depot for $1.89 a piece.
The dresser came with some cheap plastic hardware {in this picture you can see that I already started removing it} and after I took them all out, I filled in and sanded the holes to give it a different look.
My son is thrilled with the outcome and so am I!
Making over furniture is so much fun!

The dresser looks great, but I am captivated by that baseball headboard. Is that what it is or is it just painted on? Either way, it rocks!
Michelle,
It's a headboard. ...maybe I should do a whole separate post on that! LOL!

I'm digging the headboard too! I have an 18 month old with a sports (mainly baseball) room.
I like the remake :) very nice!
